Boffi Chelsea presents for the first time in the UK the Solferino wardrobe with a Salon Show of the collection Fall/Winter 2011 by acclaimed couturier Ulrich Engler during the London Design Festival.

Boffi Chelsea invites you to Kitchen-enology, an event to celebrate and enjoy excellent Italian wines from the Piemonte region. A group of five leading Piedmontese producers will be offering the opportunity to taste and experience a bespoke selection of wines, including a unique collection of fine Barolo.

For the London Design Festival 2009, Boffi Chelsea hosted an installation by Patrick Nadeau: Rainforest.
The installation transformed Boffi Chelsea into a tropical landscape, where nature becomes a metaphor for Boffi’s design concept. An important aspect of the design was the arrangement of DuPont™ Corian®
hoops, over which thousands of epiphyte plants were laid to create a ‘vegetal’ rain fall. The hoops were of different diameters and are laid out at variable heights then draped with tangles of a plant indigenous to the rain forests of South America. Lighting was an integral part of the installation, as zenithal lights shone through the organic sky and created a play of light and shade which evoked the atmosphere of a tropical forest.

Boffi has opened a flagship showroom at Brompton Cross, in the famous Chelsea design quarter. Designed by Boffi’s creative director, Piero Lissoni, in collaboration with the Boffi marketing team, this new showroom provides a cavernous 600 square metres space where Boffi can display its kitchens, bathrooms and architectural system furniture. Within the space the latest products from the Boffi collections are on display.
London represents one of the most important markets in the world and opening a flagship showroom in London is a natural progression for Boffi, reinforcing the company’s international network strength in the city, where it already has a presence via the two showrooms of Alternative Plans.

During London Design Festival (20th-23rd September), Boffi held a preview party showcasing the designs for the new 600m2 Boffi Chelsea showroom on Brompton Road, due to open in early 2008. For the event several kitchen and bathrooms by Piero Lissoni and Naoto Fukasawa were installed in an intimate setting illuminated by candles and soft lighting. The display was open until the 25th September.
